Apply for Advanced Standing
Courses completed by a student at a university or college whose content and standards are deemed equivalent by the Association to courses in the CGA program may be eligible for transfer credits. For reference purposes, a transfer credit schedule for Newfoundland and Labrador post-secondary educational institutions can be
found here.
Students requesting transfer credits must complete and forward
Student Admission Form, accompanied with official transcripts of marks and resume, to the CGA office. If available, students who have completed courses at institutions outside of Canada should also provide a course syllabus. Work experience is not accepted as a basis for granting transfer credits, but may be considered in assessing CGA’s practical experience requirement. Fees of $68 plus HST are assessed for evaluations of transfer credits / admission. An evaluation letter confirming a student’s eligible transfer credits will be mailed upon receipt of a completed application, payment, and all applicable transcripts. A transfer credit fee of $50 per course credit granted (maximum total $200 plus HST) is assessed and payable upon submission of the Application for Enrollment.
Individuals who have previously been enrolled in the CGA program, but were not registered for the immediately preceding academic year must apply for readmission by completing and submitting, with the applicable fees, a Re-admission form.
