Academic
The CGA Program is comprised of the Foundation Studies, Advanced Studies and the Professional Applications and Competence Evaluations (PACE) Level. The Foundation and Advanced Studies can be completed through CGA Newfoundland or by Transfer Credit, either in whole or in part. The PACE Level includes four (4) national examinations that must be completed through CGA International. Preparatory courses for the national exams can be taken through CGA International.
Foundation Studies
The Foundation Studies includes ten courses that form the basic knowledge of the accounting profession. Business Case 1 (BC1), completed at the end of the Foundation Studies, integrates the basic financial management concepts in a practical and professional manner.
Advanced Studies
The Advanced Studies includes five courses that build on the Foundation Studies to increase your specialized accounting knowledge. Business Case 2 (BC2) further enhances your knowledge and skills in Auditing.
Professional Studies (PACE)
The PACE Level allows you to focus your professional preparation in areas that support your career goals and interests. You may choose from twenty (20) different possible options in designing your program.

PA1 - Issues in Professional Practice, consists of students working on independent assignments, facilitated online discussion groups and weekend seminars to complete real-world business simulationsfrom the perspective of the professional accountant external to the organiization.
PA2 - Strategic Financial Management, follows the same model as PA1, using business simulations where students take on the role of the financial manager within an organization to provide direction and support to the development of an organization's strategic plan.
